Banquet Food Assignments

Swim Parents we need your help for the Swim Banquet on December 2. Please help by bringing the following items:

• Freshmen - drinks (pop, juice, water)
• Sophomores - desserts
• Juniors – desserts
• Seniors – coffee and coffee creamer

State Meet Fan Bus

All are welcome (and encouraged) to come watch the state meet THIS weekend (Nov 19 & 20th) at the Holland Aquatic Center, both prelims and finals start at noon.

There will be a FAN BUS for Saturday finals IF 25 people sign up. Parents, friends, and team mates can ride this bus both to and back from the meet. If there are enough people the bus will leave GRCHS at 10:45am Saturday morning. This is a FREE ride, please sign up in the High School Office if interested!

Banquet Thu-2-Dec

The Ladies Eagles Aquatics Banquet will be held Thursday, December 2, from 6:30 to 9:30pm at the Grand Rapids Christian Middle School multipurpose room. An email will be sent out to all parents about the food details later this week.

Timers Needed for Girls D3 State Meet

The girls D3 state meet is this coming weekend at the Holland Aquatic Center. They are looking for timers. If you;re interested, please click here to fill out the form.

State Meet Snacks

Parents of State Swimmers:

If possible, it would be great to have snacks for the girls at State this weekend, similar to the conference bags, just not organized the same. Items that could be donated include:

• Bagels and individual cream cheese or peanut butter
• Fruit
• Applesauce cups
• Cheese and Crackers
• Goldfish crackers

We already have (either donated or from the last concession sale):

• Powerade
• Gatorade
• Pretzels
• Protein and Power bars

If you are willing to donate and item or two- and then we don't have each send along an individual snack bag- please email Jennifer Schroder at jennschroder@gmail.com. I will keep a running list of who is sending what. Perhaps a cooler on wheels would be a wonderful donation as well.

State Meet Information

Diving Regionals

Kalli Nelson will be representing the GR Christian swim & dive team at East Grand Rapids Pool for the Diving Regionals competition. This will take place next week Tuesday, November 16th at 5:00. Admissions is $6.00 for adults. They will make cuts after the first 5 rounds. Please congratulate Kali on this accomplishment and stop by to cheer her on!

Middle School Swim Meet

The Grand Rapids Christian Middle School Swim Meet is THIS Saturday, November 13th from 9:00-noon at Ottawa Hills High School pool. Please note that...

1. If you are volunteering as a timer you must be on deck and report to Mr. Mauer by 8:40am.
2. If you are helping with concessions please contact Jennifer Schroder and sign up for a shift!
3. If you are doing none of the above please feel free to stop by and cheer on our (hopefully) future team members!

Concessions Reminder

Saturday is the Middle School Athletic League swim meet at Ottawa Hills pool, and the GRCHS girls swim team is providing concessions. I will use some of the money to buy some things to stock up, but your donations of food, etc. would still be appreciated. (I used some of the money already to do the conference goodie bags.) We also have three coolers provided with ice. Meet starts at 9 and swimmers are reporting starting at 8. I will be there with my swimmer at 8. If there are any girls who are willing to stop by and work (even after practice for the state girls) that wouild be most appreciated! Team Meeting Monday

Congratulations to everyone on a truly GREAT conference meet! Best times, cuts, and dives across the board. Lets talk some more about the great things that happened and great things to come this MONDAY (aka TOMORROW) during our team meeting at the Calvin pool from 6:30-7:30pm . Please plan on turning in your team warm ups and equipment bag at this time. See you all soon!

Conference Celebration

We would like you all to reserve the night of Saturday, November 6th for our annual team and family/friends pizza party. Kim Hensley has reserved/organized for us to all gather at Frankie V's Pizza around 5:00pm, following the conclusion of conference finals. Frankie V's is located at 1420 28th street, Wyoming. We will be able to sit as a large group in their raised "banquet" area. Charges will be covered for swimmers and divers.... we hope to see you all there!
