Merry Christmas and New 2 You

Merry Christmas to everyone and their families!

In the past we have done a fundraiser at New 2 You in October and have raised $1000 for the team fund. This year we have reserved the month of May 2014. Mark Swets is going to organize a schedule for May if you can email him at mswets@yahoo.com and he will start putting a schedule together. We need at least one male per session and it will be on every Friday during the month of May from 4-7pm. Thank you in advance for volunteering!

Banquet - December 4th

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we all have so much to be thankful for (this team is high on my list)!

The banquet is going to be in the garage in the quest center from 6-7:30 on December 4th! We will do what we did last years as everyone brought a dessert to pass.

If everyone could bring their warm up that night that would be great! We would love to have a better turn out than last year.

Have a great weekend!

New attendance policy

A note from the athletic director Jason-

"The high school adopted a new policy in regards to attendance last spring for this school year.  The change is that students must now be in attendance the entire day for them to be eligible to participate in practice or a game that day.  The same excused absences apply- funeral, wedding, college visit, doctor visit.  This change is prompted by our change in schedule- missing a class (particularly an 80 minute) on a given day can mean almost half of the instructional time for that week is missed.  The old policy stated they had to be in attendance the last four hours of the day.

Jack Buter, as ever, will work to keep us apprised of athletes who may be in violation so we can address it.

Thanks for your support of the academic rigor of the HS."

I hope everyone is ready for summer. which is right around the corner! Briana and I were discussing Bible Study for the summer and how many would be able to make it. We would love to do it, but also want to know how many would be able to participate. We would continue to read the book we are reading now by Jeff Manion "The Land in Between".

Thanks girls!

Middle School Swim Meet and Bible Study

Girls,

There is a the middle school swim meet a week form today, April 27th at 12:00pm. This meet is being hosted at Calvin College and I would as many of you girls to come to the meet to support the middle school students. I was thinking if you wanted to show up between 11:30-11:45am and all wear your team shirt from this year. We could see if timers are needed and if not we can just cheer the kids on and introduce yourself to them.

Bible Study: This week we will read through chapter 10 and meet at Briana's house from 7:40-9:00pm on Wednesday, April 24th!

Have a great week,
Coach Alyssa
